Our Mission

Founded in 1998, Habitat for Humanity Wood Buffalo is a non-profit organization working towards a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Our mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners to build affordable housing and promote homeownership as a means to break the cycle of poverty. With the help of volunteers, our organization has provided four families with safe, decent and affordable housing in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Habitat for Humanity Wood Buffalo is one of 58 Canadian affiliates and we are a member of Habitat for Humanity International, which has built, rehabilitated, repaired or improved more than 400,000 houses worldwide, providing shelter for more than 2 million people since it was founded in 1976. For more information, to volunteer or to give to Habitat for Humanity Wood Buffalo email or call us at crystal@habitatwoodbuffalo.ca or 780-804-1311.
