Habitat for Humanity Wood Buffalo is excited to announce that the new mobile for the build in Greenbrier Bay has arrived and work is set to start on Saturday, November 1st. A kick-off event follows on Sunday, November 2nd where Tim Hortons will be providing coffee. Volunteer registration starts at 8:30 in the morning and there will be time to take pictures in the afternoon, between 1 pm- 2pm.
All dates for the build are scheduled for weekends, and landscaping needs will be determined once the trailer has been set and will be dependent on weather. The goal is to have the home available to the family and hold the Key Ceremony before Christmas.
This is Habitat for Humanity’s 4th home in Fort McMurray and the Wood Buffalo region, and we are always seeking volunteers to help with a variety of activities. If you would like to come out and swing a hammer at any one of our build days, you may sign up through our website or contact us directly. If you’re a company or organization looking of a team building activity, we have corporate partnership programs available.
